Google has announced its first core update of 2025. According to the Google search status dashboard, the rollout may take 2 weeks to complete.
March core update began on 13-03-2025, and the official announcement said:
“Release the March 2025 core update. The rollout may take up to 2 weeks to complete”.
What’s this core update all about?
This time, Google has not shared any specific details about changes in its ranking system as compared to past core updates. This core update typically says to create high-quality and helpful content for people and not for Search Engines.
Keep an eye on Google Search Console if you are seeing any significant drop in position during the timing of the core update. Keeping track of these changes will help you able to better understand what exactly has changed and whether adjustments are needed or not.
There is no need to take action if the creators are making helpful content for the users and are performing well. For those who are seeing a large drop in the performance, can do a deeper assessment and can read our Creating Helpful Content page and evaluate the pages that are most impacted.
We will keep an eye on this update and keep posting the additional information as and when available.
